The workshop brings together three professional communities united by one challenge: making the energy transition work at grid level.
The workshop is one of the few venues where peer-reviewed research is directly confronted with operational reality. Present your findings to an audience that includes both the engineers implementing solutions and the researchers challenging your assumptions. Papers are published in the IET Digital Library and indexed in IEEE Xplore, Ei Compendex, and Scopus.
The energy transition is moving faster than most technical standards can keep up with. Sound energy policy requires understanding the engineering constraints behind it. The workshop provides regulators, consultants, and associations with direct access to the technical community – not filtered through position papers, but in open discussion with the engineers and researchers defining the state of the art.
The workshop covers the full technical scope of renewable energy grid integration – from power systems engineering to market design. The following topic areas guide the programme structure and call for papers submissions.
The workshop programme is shaped by an International Advisory Committee of 50+ experts from grid operators, manufacturers, research institutions, and universities across 20+ countries — ensuring the topic structure reflects where the field actually stands.
Every submitted abstract is reviewed by Advisory Committee members during the Call for Papers process. They assess technical quality, programme relevance, and originality — the same experts who define the topic structure also evaluate what gets accepted.
Accepted papers are published through the IET Digital Library and indexed in IEEE Xplore, Ei Compendex, and Scopus — permanently archived and citable as part of the scientific record on renewable energy grid integration.
